How to Test a Doorbell Transformer

1. Turn off power at the breaker before accessing wiring
2. Set a multimeter to AC voltage (around 25 VAC range)
3. Touch probes to the transformer’s low-voltage terminals
4. Read the voltage and compare to the rating (typically 16V)
